What is a Drum Debarker?

The peel concealer is what its name suggests: a large roller that acts as a bowl. The smallest are about 10 inches in diameter and the largest are about 18 inches in diameter. The log enters one end of the peeling machine and the cylinder pulls the log around as it rotates. The edges, called the rifles inside the drum debarker, help you land.

The registry logon contact is the one who removes the tags from these tools. According to Denis Vidfield, a Canadian forestry engineer, this is actually the best way to remove fiber in the event of fiber loss. But in winter the scales will not be well removed from the cylinder - frozen logs will not peel off easily. The peeling tool on the roller will grind the outside of the peel.

To overcome these difficulties, barrel manufacturers have introduced wet barrels - barrels that use water to treat the bark. However, the use of water was a problem because the oils and resins from the bark mixed with it, creating a toxic solution that had to be treated. The manufacturers then tried to use steam to treat the windows. But the steam changes the properties of the bark, and the water obtained after the condensation of the steam still needs to be treated.

Roller peeling machines have overtaken roller peeling machines for good reason. Roller peeling machines are expensive and require time-consuming maintenance. Every seven to ten years, maintenance crews have to replace wooden blocks in barrels, also known as "pallets". They need to be replaced as they can break when they are too weak. The roller will no longer work.

Replacing cracks is not easy. Whenever this work had to be done, a huge team of welders had to arrive, the old trenches had to be cut and new ones had to be welded. Takes weeks. And you can imagine how it affects production. This is often not possible without hiring temporary staff or hiring a maintenance company.

Another problem with paint stripper is rust. The bark and water flow out of the abrasive through the openings between the residues. Due to the acidity of the wood and the oxidizing effect of water, the metal around these openings corrodes and becomes weak. Eventually the metal breaks. These cuts must also be welded.

There are also larger components that wear out and need to be replaced. The rollers are operated on very large rollers. Peeling machines use heavy-duty engines (usually 500 hp). The drums are powered by large gears the size of a gear mechanism. The gate was also changed. Larger components mean higher costs and are harder to replace.

Performance is another area where roller reformers are failing. It does not work well with frozen wood. Frozen tree trunks can be left in the bark removal roller for hours and the bark remover will only polish the bark.
