Exercise Alert: Tell Lies
Studies indicate that on average in regular everyday conversation, people lie two to three times every 10 minutes.
Write a short scene with characters from your script where they lie at least once. Does the other character in the scene know they’re lying? What effect does the lie have on the relationship between the two characters?
If you don’t yet have a script, write a paragraph about a time you lied. What effect did it have on the people you lied to? What would have happened if you hadn’t lied?
