Due to the celebration of Lunar New Year last January 22, 2023- we have not been abled to gather since most of us observed the Busiest Tradition of Lunar New Year such as how Ramadan is observed in the Islamic World. So as Luntiang Aghama considers extending the time of Diwatang Manama to be with us until February 1 and have invoked the new Diwata of the Isnag Indigenous Community of the Cordillera Region which is the province of Apayao. It seems that this month will be a month of consideration, but the blessings of the Diwata will still flow among us.
So this month, the Diwatang Anlaban will be our Guide. This Diwata has been worshiped by the Isnag or Isneg peoplethat can be found in the northwestern end of northern Luzon, together with the Diwatang Bago, the Spirit of the Forest and the Diwatang Sirinan, the Spirit of the River; and the Diwatang Anlaban was known to be protectors of Hunters that looks after the General Welfare of the People.
As I conduct studies on the Diwata, i also search for the Isneg People in order to understand how this Diwata works to us; and my studies lead me to a certain Isneg named Juan Manzano aka Juan Magsanop who co lead the Ilocos Revolution with Pedro Almazan of San NIcolas, Ilocos Norte. It was Magsanop that started the campaign to eradicate Christianity on 1660-1661 and have commanded the people to return back to our Native Religion.
We remembered that, it was Babaylan Tamblot who started this campaign in Bohol that starts on December 3, 1961 until his life was ended on January 6, 1622. It seems that all religious uprising years before were only short termed as its flames are easily extinguished by Christian Missionaries. The Radical Zeal of our Babaylan in saving the Souls of the People from the venomous poison of the Holy Water sprinkled by the Catholic Priest to the head of the new born babies is now more valued than maintaining the power of that our Diwata is giving us. People choose to embrace Foreign Religion and be enslaved, numbed or even to the point of being paralyzed and rely on the trickery of the foreign gods brought by our colonizers.
I may be lucky enough that I already have spent 23 years of my life in this battle. Though most of the time been ignored, shutting down my pages and ridiculed that my works are not needed anymore in this modern time. And some find it good but will make a bargain that may affect the reconstruction of the Temple of the Diwata.
I remember few years ago that in my Dreams I have been summoned by Felix Manalo, the Founder of Iglesia ni Cristo in their Central Temple Office in Diliman, Quezon City; and to my surprise I also saw Gregorio Aglipay of the Iglesia Indipendiente las Islas Filipinas or better known now as the Aglipayan Church, and these both leaders are scolding me that why I am stealing the souls of their members and turn them back to the Worship of the Diwata, and I told them that true Liberation of our Country towards our Colonizers is to Free them from the Spiritual Bondage of Foreign Religion that been brought to us by our Colonizers. Our Diwata are our Gods whom your book have demonized that even your mind are enslaved into it and become paralyzed that many of you now are fighting against each other telling that your Church is the appointed church of the foreign God which is not.
Up to now, the people who are members of their church grows a lot in number, but still they find themselves empty as they still have many fears due to the dogma that been imposed to their people. But you now who are here with us in Filipino Magick, do you have fear if you missed one post you will get lost? or if you missed conducting one ritual gathering, you will be damned?
Your life will be still the same because your spirits will not get out of your body if you do not congregate. Your Body is the main temple of God which is the dwelling place of the Spirit of Life. Our Shrine is just a Center where you can come to re start again. In order to be healthy you do not need to live in a Hospital Right? So be Free and not be obliged on what to do with your life. Just enjoy each moment and do not let anyone have a control over your own life.
