Filipino Magick, what it is?

Filipino Magick, what it is?

Dec 05, 2020

Now-a-days we have seen many Filipino in diaspora claiming to practice Magick in their daily lives. They capture themselves on film and share it to social media with the hash tag #FilipinoWitch. To some people would use title as Bruja and Brujo. All of these pertains to the practitioners of Magick.

In 2012, I've been involved in trying to unify the Magickal practitioners in the Philippines and actually been one of the leading unifier by attempting to form the Samahan ng Paganong Pilipino. These group does not have success in being formed as we have faced the problem of defining what Philippine Paganism is all about. Since at the current time, there are many Filipino in the country who practices different kind of Magick that some can not be defined as Pagan.

Indeed the word Pagan becomes a stigma so as the practice of Magick in the modern society. Even though, there are still some who take refuge in the practice of Magick while they remain to their religious affiliation even it is forbidden by their religion to practice magick.

In order to resolve that, Luntiang Aghama take courage to lead and registered to the Philippines Securities and Exchange Commission to become a Religious Corporation Sole on September 4, 2012. And through our registration, we have been recognized to be the First Wiccan/Pagan Church to be established in the Philippines who teach Magick as our practice.

But what is Magick by the way? In Islam and Christianity, Magick is forbided to practice. But is it really bad to practice and learn Magick? Well if you are going to buy me a coffee then i will explain to you what is this all about.

You can expect here that we are going not only to explain what is Magick and Filipino Magick, but also we are going to teach you and qualify you to become a Filipino Magician.

So i hope you will stay tuned and watch for our updates to learn more.
