SangHabi at Pagpaparangal kay Diwatang Ampu Nagsalad

Sep 11, 2022

Happy Harvest Moon everyone! Last night we celebrated the Autumnal Equinox though it is still about to happen on September 22. Before i share what had happened last night, let me explain first the Title of this post.

Sang Habi will be the official terminology that Luntiang Aghama will use pertaining to our gatherings whether be it face-to-face or online. Usually according to William Henry Scott at Barangay: Sixteenth- century Philippine Culture and Society in page 83 the word Habit was mentioned pertaining to Spell Casting. And originally the word habi means weaving in Tagalog, we add a prefix "Sang" which means One and add it to the word habi to make it SangHabi that may means to Weave Together. And to explain the nature of our Gatherings so as Rituals or Pagaanito, most likely we aim it to be participatory which everyone will not just attend and become an audience but we encourage that each attendee's will do their part.

Since last July 2022 during its new moon we have started to work out with the Philippine Diwata and on the Full Moon of September or the Harmony Festival of Diwata sa Kagubatan we have declared this 3 years and 11 months project of getting to know the Diwata ng ating Lahi which will be completed on the Full Moon of May 2026 hopefully! But whenever will it be and whatever happen to us during those coming days, I pray that all of you can participate in getting to know our very own Diwata.

Another thing that i want to share with you here is that Why Christianity easily converted our Native Ancestors into the New Religion and that is through the Daily Bread or food for the Soul. Though Catholic are very ritualistic as well and they have taught that the Holy Eucharist or the Bread which they levitate on the mass is the actual body of Christ but in reality it is the Homily or the teaching which comprise the Body of Christ. And it is through the teaching session of the priest that people easily understand their religion so as their God.

People now-a-days who seeks to join magickal organization just wanted to learn procedures of How to do this and how to do that. But what they have neglected to learn is to build up devotion to the deity so that they may be properly empowered by them. If we are going to read articles about the practices of our ancestors, we see Babaylan practice mediumship and transworking in communicating with the Spirits of the Ancestors, Diwata or the Nature Spirits. But people don't see the nature of this Communication which is on Teaching.

In Luntiang Aghama, we have dedicated our New Moon Celebrations in Channeling the Diwata, since we are invoking the Diwata, the process is called Pagdidiwata but if we are going to call the Ancestors, the process is called Pagaanito.

Last night we do the SangHabi which is a formal pubic gathering that we held online and we were graced to have Jaime Pineda of Baltimore, Maryland with us together with Lakay Magbaya Siadtala of Taguig, Mark Genesis Cheong of Zamboanga City, Sally Padlan of Taiwan, and Ms Jacquelin of Pasig City.

In our Sanghabi we have learned that Ampu Nagsalad is a Supreme Deity that weaves the world, and during our gathering we have asked our Participants on How many Worlds that they are living at. Usually we will find an article on the internet that says that the Babaylan are the one who walks in multiple world or what is popular now as the MultiVerse or Multi Universe. And the purpose of that is to chase the lost soul and bring it back to the physical realm so that the owner of that soul will be healed. But what we do not realize is that each one of us is also a wanderer. Our Souls are wondering on many different dimensions of existence and have created many world to live at.

May this Video help you determine the different worlds we are living so as have an idea on how to weave a beautiful fabric of your own life.
