He is a third generation Freemason and, after seeing the state of many lodges within the state of Texas, began pushing for a movement dedicated to improving the quality of the Masonic experience.

He believes that the best days for Freemasonry are still in the future and that most of the ailments currently afflicting the fraternity can be eliminated by adopting best practices for every lodge and Grand Lodge.
