The Beastmaster Princess By Winterwolves Heads to Kickstarter

A visual novel set in the fantasy world of Aravorn. Find out what happened to prince Merril! For Windows and Linux

Game Geeks News is proud to bring you another great gaming project currently running on Kickstarter. Indie games developer Winterwolves, Bologna, Italy, brings you The Beastmaster Princess, the story of Kunya, the child of Chief Goro, leader of the Desert Snakes tribe. Kunya is a formidable warrior and a future war chief. But even the most formidable need allies.

Now it’s up to Kunya and the others to track him down.  They’ll face numerous dangers, using force and cunning to overcome them.  In doing so, perhaps Kunya will discover love along with the hidden power of Lyara, the beastmaster princess.

The game features optional sexy (Adult Content) outfits, and will also offer full nudity (both character sprites and CG scenes) in the final version (on Steam likely will be a separate free “uncensored DLC”). The game CGs will feature beautiful hand-painted artwork, more detailed than the usual cell-shading colouring style found in other games.

Stretch goals will help Winterwolves finish the game within the deadline, but they do have a few more stretch goals in mind and might add new ones depending on how the campaign goes. This includes adding the possibility to play also a male version of Kunya. The main story will remain the same, but there’ll be extra variants, especially in the love scenes for obvious reasons.

Besides the obvious romance scene, this will also add another scene during the story when you get to know each love interest better. This will add a new ending, besides the usual endings in which Kunya will end up with one love interest. In this ending Kunya will get all the girls! It will be done so that, despite being unconventional, will still feel natural.

There is also an Optional real-time RPG gameplay which is a more ambitious goal. The story draft is written to allow for several fights. Winterwolves didn’t want to use their traditional party-based RPG system (seen in many other games) but are hoping to come up with a more fast-paced and easy-to-learn RPG combat system. This last goal will allow them to do that.

The basic plot outline, character designs, music and initial development are already close to completion, leaving room for extra bonus content/features based on how much funding the campaign will get.

The Kickstarter is near to reaching its initial goal and has already received pledges from more than 150 backers. Rewards for backing this project start from as little as one Euro and include your name in the credits and official wallpapers, digital copies of the game and bonus DLC content and more. For a full breakdown of the rewards available, check out their crowdfunding page on Kickstarter.
