T7 Touch - A Year On!

T7 Touch - A Year On!

Jun 21, 2022

I have had my T7 Touch 500GB SSD for the last year and at the time I thought the fingerprint reader on the SSD was one of the most over rated and gimicky things money could buy but I only brought the T7 Touch, Because at the time it was cheaper than the original T7 in the competitive pricing I found.

Pricing is subjective though at the end of the day it really does depend on what your going to use the said storage for versus what your willing to pay, when it comes to SSD's prices have been dropping, and that's defintiely a positive. Samsung is one of the most trusted brands when it comes to storage and that's a fact of life, with Samsung you know you've got storage you can count on and that's always a good thing and a fact of life.

The fingerprint reader has been dynamic and to my suprirse I don't need to install third party applications on my iPad or S8 to unlock the driver providing the driver can read the fingerprint it will unlock with any issues allowing you to access those secure files with out any issues and that's defintiely a strong bonus at the end of the day.

The T7 Touch has held up amazingly well over the last year, and I have had no drive failurs or access issues, even the finger print reader has run smoothly. I still consider the Samsung T7 Touch and Standard T7 as one of the best SSD's that are portable and on the market today and that's just a fact of life :).

The T7 is a durable drive in a all metal enclosure that for me, hasn't missed any beats and has held up within the test of the time and that's just a fact of life. Regardless I come across as some one who is soley in the Samsung and Windows Eco system but that's far from the truth to be honest with every one that tells me, you don't work with Mac or iPad - So can't say thes drive work well across them, well I hate to tell you I have a Macbook Pro 13inch 2020 and a iPad Air 5th generation that I use, and these drives work well across there too.

These are practical and top choice for any techy's and that's for a good reason and I don't say I blame them and that's just a fact of life... I owned the T5 prior to the T7 and wasn't impressed but the T7 has won me over, Yes I own other SSD's and that's a fact of life at the end of the day but I only really trust T7 touch with my sensitive files and alot of that is too do with the finger print reader built in to the drive, and I think you'd be crazy not to use these to secure your files.

Over the last year I have had no issues accessing the data on the drive from multi devices and no issues with the inbuilt finger print reader which is amazing if you ask me it's hard to find a more secure SSD on the market at the moment.
