The legalization of cannabis is right at the forefront of a major change in S.E. Asian economies. The financial repercussions will be enormous, not to mention the effect it will also have on the local culture and social attitudes. Thailand is in a unique position as its profitability and the health benefits of its byproducts (e.g., CBD) clash with long held attitudes towards its recreational use. I talked to Johan Malmberg, who is not only a cultivation expert in the field for over ten years but also has a very personal story of recovery using its medicinal extracts.
