My name is Leah Carey and I grew up with a father who told me I was fat, ugly, and no one would ever love me – and I believed him.  As a result, I became a VERY “good girl” and based my entire self-worth on my ability to be perfect, since I would never be lovable. It took me into my early 40s to finally break free from those old messages.
