Mi chiamo Benedetta e sono nata a Napoli 24 anni fa. Dai tempi del liceo, ho sempre desiderato diventare una giornalista reporter e, a piccoli passi, mi sono incamminata verso quella direzione.
Dopo la laurea triennale in Scienze Politiche all'Università Federico II di Napoli, ho deciso di trasferirmi a Torino, la mia città.
È a qui che ho scelto di vivere, di crescere e scoprirmi ogni giorno di più. Forse perché, per certi aspetti, mi ricorda molto Lubiana, dove ho vissuto da studentessa Erasmus per sei bellissimi e sorprendenti mesi: il fiume e i suoi ponti, gli alberi che ricoprono i viali del parco con i loro colori autunnali, i ristoranti multietnici, gli autobus in cui si sente conversare in diverse lingue, il discount dove tutti gli studenti si riversano per fare scorta di pasta e birra... A Lubiana ho imparato a riconoscere le persone che mi fanno stare bene e a dare il meglio affinché anche loro stiano bene con me. E a Torino, continuo a imparare, da me stessa, dalle mie emozioni, dai luoghi e i loro profumi... dagli incontri.
Uno degli incontri per me più importanti e arricchenti è stato con Margherita, compagna di corso e amica. Diverse e complementari, abbiamo costruito nel tempo un rapporto basato sull'ironia e la sincerità, talvolta difficile da accettare ma sempre, in ogni caso, tassello imprescindibile, accogliente e rassicurante della nostra amicizia.
L'estate scorsa, dopo aver passato mesi nelle nostre città natali – Napoli e Pedavena – siamo tornate entrambe a Torino. Ci sembrava fosse passata un'eternità dall'ultima passeggiata al parco del Valentino ma, quando ci siamo riviste da Orso, in via Berthollet, la sensazione di distanza fisica e temporale, poco a poco, si riduceva. È stato proprio durante quella conversazione che HUMANS ha iniziato a prendere forma.
HUMANS è un blog creato per condividere storie di vita e esperienze personali e professionali di persone provenienti da tutto il mondo. Io le intervisto per conoscere le loro storie, da dove vengono e cosa le rende felici. E Margherita, con un tratto di matita, ne disegna il volto.
Ogni intervista ci ha aperto un mondo nuovo e ancora inesplorato, donandoci l'entusiasmo per andare avanti e continuare il nostro viaggio alla ricerca della felicità.
Questo è HUMANS. Persone, voci, storie, volti, sogni, progetti, perseveranza, creatività, consapevolezza. Noi siamo HUMANS e non dovremmo mai dimenticarlo.

My name is Benedetta and I was born in Naples 24 years ago. Since high school, I’ve always wanted to be a reporter journalist and, in small steps, I set out in that direction.
After my bachelor’s degree in Political Science at the University of Naples Federico II, I decided to move to Turin, my city.
This is where I choose to live, to grow and discover myself every day. Perhaps because, in some respects, it reminds me a lot of Ljubljana, where I lived as an Erasmus student for six beautiful and surprising months: the river and its bridges, the trees that cover the park’s avenues with their fall colors, the multi-ethnic restaurants, the buses where you hear chatting in many different languages, the cheap supermarkets where all the students go to stock up on pasta and beer... In Ljubljana I learned to recognize the people that make me feel good and to give them my very best. And in Turin, I keep learning, from myself, from my emotions, from the places and their perfumes... from the meetings.
One of the most important and enriching meetings for me was with Margherita, a classmate and friend. Different and complementary, we have built over time a relationship based on irony and sincerity, sometimes difficult to accept but always, in any case, essential piece, welcoming and reassuring of our friendship.
Last summer, after spending months in our native cities - Naples and Pedavena - we both returned to Turin. It seemed to us that an eternity had passed since the last walk to the Valentino Park but, when we saw each other at Orso, in Berthollet street, the feeling of physical and temporal distance, little by little, was reduced. It was during that conversation that HUMANS began to take shape.
HUMANS is a blog created to share personal and professional life stories and experiences of people from all over the world. I interview who want to share their stories, to know where they come from and what makes them happy. And Margherita, with a pencil stroke, draws their faces.
Each interview opened a new and yet unexplored world, giving us the enthusiasm to move forward and continue our journey in search of happiness.
This is HUMANS. People, voices, stories, faces, dreams, projects, perseverance, creativity, awareness. We are HUMANS and we should never forget that.
