My name is Granit Temaj, and I am an enthusiastic and energetic outdoor lover and a tech enthusiast based in Prishtina, Kosovo.
In 2015, a friend invited me on a hike, and that’s when I discovered my passion for hiking. At that time, I was in bad physical shape, had just finished university, and was not motivated at all. But something about hiking resonated with me, and I quickly realized that it was something I loved. I started hiking in the mountains in Kosovo and Albania, and soon, I explored every mountain peak in the region.
In 2016, I moved to Germany and later to Riga, Latvia. I started backpacking and traveled to 26 countries for a year with a minimal budget. After returning to Prishtina, I started working full-time, but my passion for nature and hiking remained strong.
In 2017, I started learning web development and created this blog to promote hiking, and outdoor destinations, mainly in Kosovo and Albania, and to promote local family businesses.
Now, I have climbed over 250 mountain summits all over the world. I also work as a Product Owner in a Software enterprise. Hiking and product management share many similarities, such as planning, adaptability, and determination to reach a goal. The sense of accomplishment and satisfaction derived from reaching the summit of a mountain or launching a successful product can provide a powerful source of motivation for pushing oneself further in the future. Hiking, in particular, offers a chance to clear the mind and gain new perspectives, which can lead to innovative and impactful ideas. Furthermore, my experience as an outdoor consultant for different organizations, where I create new trails and promote them through photography, has further solidified my belief in the power of nature to inspire and rejuvenate the mind.
Hiking has changed not only my physical health but also my mental health. It calms my mind and inspires me to become a better version of myself. I believe that hiking can benefit the community, and I encourage others to take a hike and consider its benefits for their mental and physical health and their ability to come up with new ideas. I hope that by reading my blog, you will feel inspired to get out into nature and experience the benefits of hiking for yourself.
