Hello everyone! It's been awhile since I've updated this page, and I wanted to let everyone know what I've been up to and the projects I have coming up!
I spent the month of August in Glasgow staying with my friend, Clare, or as you may know her, Little Strings. It was a wonderful time hiking, writing, playing ukulele, and I even got to perform some gigs at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival! I say the only hiccup during the trip was when I got stuck at a train station overnight and missed my flight to Dublin, and I unfortunately missed out on Ukulele Hooley.
All in all it was a great trip to Scotland, but September has been a bit of a lowsy month for me. For starters, I arrived home at 1am after 18 hours of travelling to find a giant hole in my wall and debri all over my bed because my landlord had a construction accident. Then sadly due to rainstorms, Danielle Ate the Sandwich's flight was canceled, and we had to end up canceling our concert here in Brooklyn. It was disappointing, but these things happen!
I do have some great things to share with you though!!! While I Scotland I finally wrote a Christmas song, and I'm putting the final touches on the song now. If you're a member on Buy Me a Coffee you should have access to the demo recording. I can't wait to share the complete song with all of you! I also wrote a ton of songs while in Glasgow, and I will be recording my first full length album and releasing it later in 2024. Members will have access to the demo recordings and the making of the album!
Right now I'm currently focused on the Sparkle Theater Festival happening in November. You may not know this, but I've been working on writing a movie musical based on my song, Friday Night in a Bookstore. I'll be sharing a few songs from the musical on November 5th as part of the Sparkle Theater Festival. To help me create a script and outline where I think songs will go, I've been writing a short story for Friday Night in a Bookstore. I'll be sharing the complete story with members on here once it's done along with demo recordings of the songs!
