On World Elephant Day, we are celebrating the incredible work done by Reteti Elephant Sanctuary in Kenya, the first indigenous owned and run elephant sanctuary in Africa.
In this new short film, Shaba, award winning journalist @amivitale tells the story of the sanctuary’s first matriarch elephant and the extraordinary bonds she formed with a herd of baby orphaned elephants and the people who rescued her.
