I thought it might be nice to offer an update :)
So what's been going on over at Handmade by Kathryn?
Well, we're ramping up to the festive period and I've been making soaps ready for Christmas gifts and also the December Subscription Box :D
This year I'm bringing back some of last year's festive soaps but also adding another one - a gorgeous carrot puree, ginger and vegan honey soap! (I haven't got a photo yet as I'm waiting on the Vegan Honey arriving!)
Of course I've also introduced wax melts to the range and have some absolutely gorgeous winter scents.
First Footing is a wonderful, smokey and spicy baked goods scent. Absolutely great if you love cinnamon without the usual sweetness that tends to come with scents based around baked goods!
Frosted Norwegian Spruce is a Christmas tree in a bottle. Fresh pine trees with eucalyptus, cardamom and clove.
Rubies & Gold is a playful combination of white mulberry with deep red rose and peony. Darkest green ivy and hawthorn.
Smoke & Mirrors is a majestic Christmas pine festooned with botanical decorations; cinnamon stick bundles, dried orange segments and bouquets of star anise and clove. Earthy moss blankets the boughs and trunk.
I've also got some beautiful goodies being made by the wonderful Lizi for the December Subscription Box - I'm not going to spoil anything here, you'll have to wait for the subscription boxes to arrive :D
To finish off this update I'll briefly mention a new recipe I have been playing with... Using olive oil, coconut oil, shea butter and cocoa butter (which smells absolutely divine). There's potential for it to be a baby soap but I've also been playing with something that has the potential to be a shampoo bar too. I'm still tweaking and testing and once I'm happy of course I'll need the all important Cosmetic Product Safety Report - so keep your eyes peeled for those :D
Ok, I've waffled long enough, just wanted to give a little update. I hope you're all well and I can't wait for the festive soaps to be ready!
