The photo you see here is what really started my photography career for me. This photo was taken the morning before Hurricane Dorian was about to make landfall in Brunswick, GA. After the hurricane passed, I went to visit my mom who was in an assisted living facility in Jacksonville, FL. I showed her the photograph and her eyes lit up and a huge smile showed on her face. It was in that moment, I decided I wanted to keep taking photos to bring her. 

She passed away in May of 2020, but my memory of her smile still drives me to take better and better images.
