One of things holding me back on the Warspite build was the Spring heat and unexpected traffic noise in the front room, which I had intended to use as a bright sunlit Hobby Room. It just didn’t work.
There are no trees yet on the property line to the road, so the noise of every tractor and bogan in a ute comes bouncing in off the concrete car park. In time that will be covered with trees, a hedge and a 6 foot fence, but for now proved a real discouragement to enjoying my hobby, plus a big problem when recording audio for videos.
After seting up my painting booth and paint racks in the spare bedroom, I began to realise that it might be a better choice for a quieter hobby area, with trees outside and a gentle breeze through the window. I’d only found out after moving in the front room window was welded shut! So no fresh air or vent for the spray booth.
I had shot the last Workbench and New Kits in the spare bedroom/ paint booth area, and that worked well. So now I have moved my standup modelling desk in here as well, and this I feel will be a much nicer location for the hobby room in the new house.
