Selling personalised work to your audience got a whole lot easier. While this guide is written for artists who would like to offer commissions for their artwork, it can helpful for anyone trying to sell a personalised service.
Log in to your Buy Me a Coffee account, and head over to the Extras page.
Use the pre-filled ‘Art commissions’ template or ‘Start from Scratch’.
Set a title, price, and add a short description if you like.
Use the ‘Confirmation message’ area to share any details post-purchase, or just say thanks.
Use the ‘Questions’ field to ask more details about the commission. This will help you set the expectations. You can also share a Google Form or Typeform to collect more details.
Set up maximum slots. You probably don’t want to be overbooked and compromise on the deliverability.
Click ‘Add this extra’ and you’re all set!
Share your BMC page with your audience. They can now book a commission in a few clicks 🎉
In many cases, you might not be able to fulfil a request. In that case, you can refund the purchase from your BMC dashboard. You can also leave a message stating the reasons.
We accept PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and all major credit cards.
You can message your buyers within BMC. They will be notified via email. You can also view and export their emails if you’d like to use a separate email software.
