Crazy circuits and autonomous robots

Oct 11, 2021

Years ago I hurt both my wrists in an on-job-accident. This was classified as a traumatic injury. It got so bad that I had to have carpal tunnel surgery on both wrists. I made the unfortunate decision to have them both done at the same time, which was a huge mistake. This left me pretty much helpless for several weeks and I had to be fed at meals. This was not fun!

My hobby entails a lot of typing and entering of code when I am working on software for a robot or other project. I design and build small to medium sized robots. Sometimes I start out with a kit as with my Smart Car Robot. The mechanical stuff I have to do does not bother me too much unless I am using a twisting motion, like screwing in a screw. Other than that, it is just all the typing I need to do that bothers me.

I need a new keyboard and trackball because the ones I have are terrible and hurt my wrists enough that I often can not sleep. This forces me to frequently limit how much I am at the keyboard. I can not touch type on the keyboard which slows me down a lot when I am coding. These things really hurt my productivity. The keyboard and track ball I need are the Logitech Ergo K860 Wireless Ergonomic Keyboard with Wrist Rest and MX Ergo Wireless Trackball Mouse. These look awesome to me and I think they would work great!

You could support my projects a lot if you would buy me a coffee once in a while or join for a monthly subscription. I am also in the process of setting up a Patreon but it is not quite ready for prime time. If you would enjoy seeing the crazy circuits I build and would like to follow along with me as I share my experiences, please join the adventure and buy me a coffee! This will help me get the keyboard and trackball I need so I can go full tilt and get things done much quicker.

Thank you all, in advance!
