This was a top of the table clash between Oxenhope and Blackley cricket clubs. Batting first, visitors Blackley knew they’d need to work hard to defend a modest total of 130.
While Oxenhope began their innings positively, wickets also fell steadily until only two batters remained with 16 still needed. At that point it was looking like Blackley had done enough and with their opening bowlers back on and steaming in, they sensed victory. However, the two stood firm, the runs ticked by and Oxenhope snatched the win.
