Little bit late posting this week so you’ll probably already know about the goings on at Castle Park Doncaster on Saturday. Here’s a detailed match report if news of a Knights win escaped you.
Highlights for ickledot were: witnessing a whole half (whole half? Is that correct?) of rugby with no points being scored, seeing the return of Knights legend lightning winger Tyson Lewis, out of retirement for 80 minutes of scintillating speed, and the successful debuts of quite a few young players.
Aside from that, photographing conditions were difficult. A sky of thick grey cloud, occasional showers and last weekend’s move into daylight saving bringing the onset of dusk by the final whistle. Partly because he had to photograph Coventry attacking for part of the game, ickledot wasn’t particularly near any of the tries. However there were some pleasing action shots - the mid-first half run from Ehize Ehizode above, for example. You can see more pics from the game here.
