Founded in 2013, Interns Australia is the peak body representing interns in Australia. We want to end exploitative internships through law reform and greater enforcement.

is a self-funded advocacy body and run by volunteers (former interns) who believe that internships should be fair and accessible to all. We believe that internships are a great learning opportunity. However, as more and more opportunities are now unpaid, internships are denying valuable learning opportunities to those who cannot afford to work for free. Unpaid internships are not only discriminative, but also displace paid entry-level jobs, making it harder for young people to find work. Interns Australia wants to change the laws to make sure that the rights of interns are clear and internships can continue to offer learning opportunities to all young people.
