This album includes snippets of Idol's journey from his youthful years, all the way through to our current rehabilitation towards his hinds legs.
We've been managing a phleg hind left leg ( which means compromised lymphatic flow, causing some crazy inflammation - also known as Chronic Cellulitis.)
End November 2021, Idol injured his right hind leg through a mean cut of the skin.
We still don't know the cause of the injury, but have helped heal and get more mobility in the leg since then. However, we are struggling to keep the phleg leg inflammation down without extensive action through daily walking sessions.
Investment towards Incrediwear Equine active wear has helped, but due to not having eyes on Idol 24h a day, the active wear could do more harm unattended than what the purpose for their use are for.
So, together with the yard owner, we're doing the best we can with the resources we have. The vet's suggestion daily aspirin to help, but that - is costly, and only a band aid solution.
