Finger painting on a canvas
Yellows and reds
Joy and blood
Bile and laughter
.
I’m mine before I’m yours
I’m life and I’m joy
I’m beautiful and I’m strong
.
You fear me
The colour in my eyes
The emptiness in yours
.
You burn my portrait
My flesh and my bones
My tongue and my cries
.
But I’ll drag from the ashes
Tear through death and darkness
Hold your hate
like rain through my fingers
.
I’ll dine on ignorance
Feast on spite,
lunacy sweet on my tongue
.
Hold me down, darling.
I'll burn through you
and I'll keep rising
.
My nails full of blood
Yet once more at the easel
Finger painting on a canvas.
