New Viral, Questionable App: Easygetpaid

Another new app went viral in Referral World today, Easygetpaid. This morning, most of the posts were for this app, as they offer(ed) a $50 signup bonus and $5 referral bonuses. And several people were paid out within a few minutes to a few hours, though some weren't paid. Halfway through the day, Easygetpaid paused the promotion. According to one referrer's posts, they resumed the promotion, but I've seen no new posts promoting it this evening.

This app immediately reminded me of several fly-by-night apps/promotions in recent months (others being Rev, Super, Exceed, etc.). Because of this, I haven't signed up for this app. And other referrers, such as RWN supporter, Nora E., noticed that their terms state that they use your ID to purchase tickets - and possibly other things - in your name.

Have you signed up for Easygetpaid? If so, email me and let me know your thoughts/experience.

Shein Takes a Page from Temu's Book

When Temu first went viral some months back, there was another app, Shein, that also hit Referral World around the same time, but wasn't as popular. I've been seeing several Shein posts the past few days and it looks like they've taken Temu's lead in terms of offering games and store credit as part of their referral promotions. And it looks to be working, as more and more referrers are promoting Shein's "get up to $150 store credit".

MoneyLion's Increased $60 Bonuses!

https://mlion.us/$55BONUS - code $55BONUS

MoneyLion's doing it again! Now, through March 29th, MoneyLion has doubled their signup bonuses from $5 to $10. You just need to sign up and open a free RoarMoney (checking) account. You'll receive the $10 bonus within 2-3 business days. You can earn another $50 by making one qualifying direct deposit within 60 days. Note that you can trigger this bonus using the Found app if you don't have direct deposit through your employer.

How to Trigger Chase's $200 Signup Bonus!

https://accounts.chase.com/raf/share/2735652016

Have you signed up for Chase Bank? If not, they offer a $200 signup bonus when you open a new Chase Total Checking account and have qualifying ACH/direct deposits made to your account within 90 days.

Over the past few years, there have been several workarounds to trigger Chase Bank's signup bonus without the need of a direct deposit from your employer. Past workarounds included using an Etsy account, connecting Chase to Webull or similar stocks app, among others. These methods all stopped working.

The method I've known about - which still works - is to connect your Chase account to your gig app/delivery account - such as DoorDash - and make at least one delivery. Once the delivery app pays you through direct deposit, it triggers the signup bonus which you'll receive within a few business days.

According to fellow referral marketer, Bentley Q., there are two additional methods working right now. SurveyJunkie and Field Agent apps also work. Connect your Chase account to either of these apps and complete surveys, etc., in one of these apps. Once the app pays you - via ACH deposit - the Chase bonus is triggered the same way that happens with DoorDash.

If you'd like to use DoorDash or a similar app to trigger the Chase bonus, see my Featured Delivery/Gig Jobs post for referral links that can get you great signup bonuses for these apps! Also, see how you can make up to $324 for one delivery!

Reminder: Figure Pay Shutting Down on March 31st

Figure Pay, an app-based bank who started running a $25 signup and referral bonus promotion, sent out a "Final Notice" email this morning (even though it's the first email I received from them on the topic. According to the email, they will be shutting down on 3/31/23, and informing us that we need to withdraw all funds before this time.

If you have funds in your account, be sure to withdraw or spend your funds before 3/31. You can opt for them to send you a check if you don't withdraw, but be sure the address they have on file for you is current. And if you're looking for another bank with great signup and referral bonuses, I have a list of several featured banks here, with current bonuses and info.

Upgrade's $550 Promotion Extended!

http://upgrade.com/r/knJw0ZPTkl

If you read last week's edition of RWN, you already know that Upgrade's $50 signup and referral bonus promotion was set to end tomorrow (3/15). The great news is that Upgrade has extended this promotion another month! The promotion now expires 4/15/23.

If you haven't signed up yet, you get $50 just by signing up and opening a free checking account, and making three purchases anywhere, for ANY amount! When I signed up, I triggered my bonus by reloading my Amazon gift card balance with $1 three times.

As soon as you open your Upgrade account, you'll get your own referral link that you can start sharing with others to earn those $50 bonuses. You can earn up to ten bonuses per calendar year, which means $550 in total possible earnings this year ($50 signup and $500 referral bonuses).

SoFi Shenanigans

I've been a member of SoFi products - SoFi Money and SoFi Invest - for several years (I believe I signed up back in 2015/2016). And for years, SoFi was one of my favorite banking apps, offering features like no ATM fees, great referral bonuses, and much more. Last year, they announced they were replacing their "SoFi Money" with "SoFi Checking and Savings". I opted not to upgrade my account.

Since this change, things started to go downhill (for me, at least). I continued getting referrals, but not a single referral bonus. Other referral marketers reported they have also been experiencing this. I called SoFi multiple times and was assured by them, each time, that there was nothing preventing me from receiving referral bonuses.

Fast forward to this morning, when I received two emails from SoFi: one informing me that they locked my SoFi Money account due to suspicious activity, and another informing me they closed my account. In possibly related news, Silicon Valley Bank assets were seized by regulators this past week. SoFi claims to have no assets with them, but the timing sure seems odd to me. The email from SoFi gave a number to call but that number is just a repetitive automated message that hangs up on you after 10 minutes of listening to said message.

I stopped promoting SoFi a few weeks back due to not receiving any referral bonuses. Strongly considering transferring my holdings to another investment app.

What has your experience been with SoFi? Let me know here!
