MoneyLion's $10 Bussin' Bonus Extended

https://mlion.us/$60FREE - code: $60FREE

MoneyLion, the banking app that typically offers $5 signup bonus for opening a checking account, and an additional $50 for setting up a recurring $100+ direct deposit is running a "Busser Bonus" promo with an increased $10 signup bonus (referral bonuses as well). It was originally slated to end 9/19, but is now extended through 9/26.

If you haven't signed up yet, you can use my referral link and code above to get your $10+ bonus.

Also note that their promo banner still says 9/19 expiration, but their terms state 9/26.

Webull's Referral Promotion Rebooted, Extended

https://a.webull.com/FvOl7iH11jCmzIl76g

Last month, Webull changed their promotions from full-month to half-month. Their most recent "Get 15 Free Fractional Shares" for up to 10 successful referrals ended yesterday, and the same promotion started again today. This promotion carries into October, running 9/16-10/12 (just shy of a month). This is in addition to the "Get up to 40 Shares of APPL" promotion that runs through 9/30.

This is a win-win, because referrers can get up to another 10 referral bonuses and have more time to do so. And the signup bonus, up to 12 free stocks, is among the best promotions Webull has ever offered.

Temu's Bogus Claims, Bugs and Bungling

Temu, one of the latest viral apps to hit Referral World this week, was off to a good start but appears to have gone way downhill. Since 9/13, they've been falsely promoting "up to $50" signup and referral bonuses. In fact, they initially rewarded $20 referral bonuses for every two referrals - $10 per referral - and no signup bonus. Once Temu had gone viral, they lowered this bonus to $5 across the board. Despite this false claim, it was still a great bonus because, once awarded, the $5 immediately paid out to PayPal. Several referrers earned over $200, myself included.

This morning, I went to claim my latest $5 bonus and received an error message stating "Verification Failed," and instead offering a $5 off $200 order coupon. Additionally, the referral screens, accessible by clicking your own referral link, is down. This appears to not be the case for everyone, though it happened to me and other referrers in Referral World. I spent over 2 hours trying to resolve this with Temu (you can see my first chat with them here). I am still trying to work with them to get this resolved, and will provide updates as I receive them. For now, I will not be promoting Temu until the issue is resolved.

Last Day for Webull's Half-Month Promos

https://a.webull.com/FvOl7iH11jCmzIl76g

As I've reported before, Webull used to offer full-month promotions. Last month, and also this month, they changed things up and now run two promotions in the same month. The current promo which gets you up to 6, 10 or 12 stocks - ($34+ minimum award - ends tonight at 9pm PDT. If they do as they did last month, they'll be rebooting this same promo tomorrow.

If you've already started to sign up this month but haven't finished opening your account and/or initiating your penny deposit, you need to do it no later than tonight at 9PM for your signup to count for this current promotion.

Updates on Steady, $200 Caps

As I previously reported, I have been having issues with Steady, not receiving bonuses since early August, along with either getting no responses or the runaround when I reached out to them. It's been like pulling teeth with them. They've been quicker in their replies this week, after I threatened to start filing complaints if they didn't. Still more runaround this morning, until I reached out to Extole. In the most recent Steady replies, they said that I'm not eligible to receive any further bonuses until I complete a W9. But, Steady wouldn't answer my questions the amount that triggered a W9 (the IRS requires $600 or more before a W9 is needed). When I reached out to Extole to get answers, they replied right away, telling me they'd be reaching out to Steady. Sure enough, Steady was on top of giving me answers to the questions they'd previously dodged. According to Steady, Extole's threshold is $200. Steady also [finally] issued me a $10 Visa gift card they'd promised me a few weeks back but never sent. And the latest email from Steady assured me that they are finding out how many bonuses I'm owed and will reach out to me as soon as they know.

Also, I was told that they apparently set referral caps back in January (four months before I signed up and began referring Steady). According to Steady's terms, there's a $200 referral bonus limit, and they may offer you the opportunity to become a brand ambassador to keep earning. Perhaps this is where the W9 comes in.

If you refer Steady and have been having issues receiving bonuses from them in recent weeks, it may very well be that you reached your $200 referral bonus limit. If you wish to reach out to Steady or Extole, here are their email addresses:

Temu Still Active and Instant, Lowers Bonuses

https://shr.temu.com/Pfp3nlzFPGKCwN?ba=rpf

Temu - the new app that took Referral World by storm, yesterday - is still active! I'm personally suprised, considering most "New! New! New!" viral apps, these days, have been shutting down their promos post haste. That said, Temu did lower their referral bonuses from $20 to $5. Considering they're still advertising as "up to $50" and still have their multiplier in place - currently multiplying the base $1 bonus five times to get to the $5 - hopefully these bonuses will increase sometime soon. Otherwise, I hope they'll adjust their promotional images and text because it currently advertises both a signup bonus (there's no signup bonus) and up to $50 in referral bonuses (it's currently only $5).

I still highly recommend this app considering the bonuses are instant, and signing up only requires a valid phone number or email. Since signing up, yesterday, I've been paid $165!

NEW VIRAL APP - Temu

https://shr.temu.com/Pfp3nlzFPGKCwN?ba=rpf

A new app hit Referral World today, called Temu. Only a phone number/email required, Temu claimed to award up to $50 signup and referral bonuses - though people seemed to be receiving $20 each time - and you can instantly withdraw to PayPal once you referred two bonuses. People quickly discovered that you could refer more than two people, and the withdrawal to PayPal was instant.

I learned about this app within the last hour, not long after it started going viral. And, it looks like Temo has already put a pause to the program, as they are not currently allowing PayPal withdrawal. I'm leaving my link in case anyone wants to test. Fingers crossed, it will be back up and running. Though, I wouldn't be surprised if it's already dead.

Update 1:36PM PDT - It's back up and running! Confirmed Payment, as well!

Update 5:42PM PDT - I've now earned $60 in bonuses. It looks like Temu may not have originally had the multiplier set correctly (they start with a base amount and multiply it by X amount to determine your bonus before acquiring your two referrals. Appears to be $5 - $50 (I personally have received multiple $5, $10 and $20 bonuses). And you can continue to acquire referrals, you just need to make sure and claim your bonus after every two referrals you gain to reset the referral spots.

UnSteady as Ever

As you may have read in my previous blog post, It's been nearly a month since I first reached out to Steady to report referral bonus and tracking issues. To recap: Steady had been paying out referral bonuses until the first week of August. And around 8/23, Steady added in-app referral tracking that, at least for me, isn't working as expected. It shows the total of bonuses I received - $230 - but says I've never had any referrals.

Over the past month, I've submitted tickets, messaged them through their social media accounts, etc. For the first couple weeks, there were no responses from Steady. in the past couple weeks, they have responded, but the responses were essentially:

  • "Please provide us with the email of the person whose bonus you're missing";

  • "We've submitted your request to the team";

  • "According to our records, you received your bonuses [I didn't]";

On Friday, after several days of no replies, I reached out again and informed them that, if they didn't reply to me with a resolution by EOD today (Monday), I'd be seeking 3rd-party assistance (i.e., BBB, ABC, BVD). This morning, Steady replied with a new doozy:

"I reached out to our partners team for further details and was informed that your account has reacehd [sic] the maximum reward limit that can be delivered without completing a W9 form for tax purposes. Our team emailed you a W9 form for completion that must be filed before the account can continue receiving referrals and incentives."

That's all well and good, except:

1) I couldn't find anywhere in their referral terms mentioning a W9 requirement, or any caps related to referral bonuses.
2) According to their records, I've only earned $230 this year in bonuses, well under the $600 threshold for requiring a W9.
3) The reply states that their team emailed me a W9. They didn't.
4) If this is, in fact, the reason they haven't been paying out bonuses since early August, how many referral bonuses have they NOT been honoring?

I sent Steady a reply for answers to these questions. I'm sure it'll be more runaround from them. And it's a shame because I had nothing but praise for them and their referral program up until these issues began. In good faith, I've still been referring them in recent weeks, thinking they'd remedy this situation. Unless this gets resolved favorably this week, I'm going to chalk it up to, "another app that was good until it wasn't," and cease referring them.
