Quest for Freedom - Into The Deep End

Quest for Freedom - Into The Deep End

Jun 30, 2021

Namaste our fellow Cosmic Travellers!

This is Joanna and Lee here, typing our first post from Escazu in Costa Rica!

We have left England on 23rd June 2021, for a quest of a lifetime: finding our freedom from the 3D world of corporate slavery, consumerism, restrictions, mainstream media lies, and so on. Enough was enough. It was time to make the biggest leap of faith in the history of this lifetime

When we met on the bank of the River Thames, in the middle of the lockdown, we instantly recognised each other's energy signature of wanting to be free in all ways possible. We were both burnt out from the 3d jobs that we did for years, yearning for a more natural, slower lifestyle, and our physical bodies just craved to be closer to nature.

We both wanted to travel: Lee wanted to bike around the world, I wanted to backpack. Eventually, Lee managed to charmingly persuade me to join the bike-packing plan however, I had zero experience as a cyclist. Once I agreed to do this, I had many episodes of anxiety about how I was going to cope with a 20kg touring bike plus 20 kg luggage on it....scarrrrryyy!!!

Despite feeling the fear, we have made our preparations, getting the bikes, the lightweight MSR 3 person tent (As Lee takes 2/3rds of the space :), the lightweight sleeping bags and all the other gear. It was expensive, but we had to get things that would last for several years.

Lee also had to take a year's worth of his diabetes medicines (mainly insulin), as he is a type 1 diabetic since he was 10 years old.

The original plan was to start in Europe, as we did not want to fly.

However, due to various lockdown-related risks - we decided to go to Costa Rica as this was the only country that would accept travellers without any PCR test or vaccination as a condition of entry.

We have landed on Wednesday afternoon, and our first step into a free world, with little money but little care we take our first step into the unknown territory...

The first few days have proved to be a challenge. On arrival, we learnt that half of our luggage has gone missing. Here we go...onto the baggage claims office..

We told that the bag would be delivered to us in the morning on the next day...so we booked a cheap accommodation near the airport as we could not move on with our bikes, with half the gear missing.

The next day, the bag was still missing. We spent hours on the phone, trying to find out what was going on.

To cut the story short, the bag arrived on Sunday - it was never delivered to us (as Air France kept promising) - we had to take the Uber to the airport - and get it ourselves. We just hope we will get compensation for the unnecessarily incurred costs while we waited.

It was not an easy start however, the universe gave us an opportunity to recover after the uncomfortable flight, instead of going straight into the bike packing.

So here we are...on the bridge to the 5D world of freedom, movement, simplicity and unity!

See you on the next post!
