Ramblings About Writings

Ramblings About Writings

Jun 30, 2021

When you're writing a story, sometimes you have to research some rather unsavory things. How to kill a person in a particular way, which poisons work in what fashion, best places to hide a body, etc. I can only imagine how much fun my NSA agent has with my search history... I know Google gets a kick out of it.

I've had a new romance novel flitting around in my head for a while now, and finally decided to start it. Starting a story is always the easiest for me. It takes very little effort, because I just jump right into the story with hardly any exposition. I despise exposition in my stories. I feel like I'm writing a scene for someone to view with their mind's eye. They don't need explanations for every. little. thing. Needless to say, this has caused some confusion in my previous works.

"For Love and Honor" is the working title of the romance novel, and I'm hoping it'll be more than just a short story. It will be available in e-book format at a discounted price for my Members here when it's finished. If I ever finish it!

My book of poetry is almost ready to go. I just have a few more formatting snags to handle, and then it's going to be published. Most likely on SmashWords for the ebook, and Amazon for the paperback (and their own ebook, Kindle). We'll see. It's not terribly long, but it has some of my favorite poems in it, out of the ones I've written over the past couple of years.

Just letting you all know what's going on lately in the worlds I create. "Jamie and the Elves" is taking on a whole new dimension, thanks to the conversation with my brother recently. I have to rethink a few things I've already written in it, and formulate a few new ideas. I'm looking forward to it!

Much love to you all, and I hope you're having a good week. Stay safe, stay hydrated, and stay out of this heatwave! <3
