So I'm sure some of you have noticed that I've been absent for the past..... checks watch..... month. JEBUS A MONTH?!

Okay, so here's what went down. When last we met, I was adjusting to a new med. That med was Clozapine. I developed a really high (like 103) fever on July 26th, and by the 27th, I was in the ER. My oxygen started dropping, so they decided to admit me. This is where I pretty much blacked out for a week. I have no recollection of anything that happened in the hospital until about 2 days before I was released.

As scary as that was, I was then sent home with O2, 24/7. My oxygen was dropping too low whenever I took it off, so I'm stuck with this hose in my nose (ha ha) all day and all night. And it turned out I wasn't even sick with an infection (they had initially diagnosed me with sepsis). Apparently, there is a rare side effect from Clozapine that MIMICS an infection, all the way down to the blood work. Some of my numbers were off the charts, and that's in line with this side effect. Go figure. So we took me off the Clozapine quick as you like, and switched me back to Abilify (the previous med I was on. I still have bleed-through symptoms like shadow people and delusions, but it's tolerable.)

So that was my adventure over the past month. I've been out of the hospital for about 3 weeks, and that whole time the AQI has been awful. Yay. Gotta love forest fire season!
