If you're reading this post, there is a good chance you came from Search Conservative and may have seen the button on the homepage that says "Buy Me a Coffee - Ad Removed" on it.
This button right now is replacing the ad slot that used to be there. Ideally we'd have no ads search-engine wide, but because every search costs us money it is still very necessary to include ads at the top of the search page.
Anyway, we do make about 40% of our ad earnings from the homepage ad, so hopefully we can get some supporters through this Buy Me a Coffee page to replace that revenue.
You might see some design tests in the coming days so we can figure out if people respond better to different elements.
In the meantime, I hope you consider supporting the search engine! It'll help us grow, develop, and afford the APIs we use.
