Late Update

Dec 11, 2022

Hello everyone!

Sorry I didn't get an update out when the latest episode of JZ and the Amazing Technicolor Podcast dropped. Things are hectic, with the holiday season really ramping up. Plus, my day job had me working on my regular day off, which is usually when I sit down to do these things.

But Episode 6 is available now on Google and Apple Podcasts and Spotify. Or, as usual, you can check it out at the direct link right here.

This week, I dive into a little bit of sermonizing on what love is and isn't. It's an important topic, and one that I think we are being negligent of in our current environment. With the climate in decline and our interactions with others infused with deep tension, we need, in the words of Bob Dylan, "A shot of love."

And over at the blog, I think I struck a nerve. I've not gotten any commentary back, but it is getting a lot of hits, which is different from how it usually is when I write about religion. Over there I am ruminating on the Georgia primary and one of the most frustrating things, at least for me as a former Evangelical, about the whole thing: Evangelicals being a political force rather than a religious one. I also dive a little into the history of the Religious Right and the Moral Majority, which I think puts a lot of context to it.

As always, spread the word about the blog and the podcast and keep the coffee flowing!
