It's been 🤯 ONE YEAR 🤯 since "Carbon Horses and Metal Cars" was published in Brilliant Flash Fiction's 25th issue! It's always a good feeling getting published, but I was particularly proud of this story.

I wrote "Carbon Horses and Metal Cars" as an entry to a microfiction contest, where the only rule was to tell a story in 300 words or less. I worked on it for 3 months, relentlessly changing a sentence there, a word here, until the time came to send it off and hope for the best.

. . . 🐎 . . . 🐎 . . . 🐎 . . .

I lost the contest. But, soon after, Brilliant Flash Fiction picked it up for publication in their online literary journal, making it possible for you fine people to read and enjoy it. And I hope you do enjoy it!

"Carbon Horses and Metal Cars" is available to read here. Be sure to check out the other talented authors in that month's publication for more great flash fiction reads!

As always, thanks for reading. 🌸🌻🌷
