Life is too short (poem)

Life is too short (poem)

May 17, 2023

Life is too short to dwell on the past,

To hold on to grudges that never last,

To waste your precious time on things that don't matter,

And to let your dreams and passions scatter.

Life is too short to keep running away,

From the things that challenge us to grow and play,

To hide from love and all its grandiose hues,

And to keep living a life that leaves us confused.

Life is too short to wait for the perfect day,

To chase your dreams and see them through all the way,

To say the words that are left unsaid,

And to mend all the bridges that were ever left shred.

For life is too short to not live it your way,

To not follow your heart and passionately play,

To not do what you love, to not be who you are,

To not seize each day, and reach for every star.

So let's live our lives, with purpose and grace,

And make each moment count, with love and embrace,

For the clock is ticking, time's slipping away,

And life is too brief, to not make it your day.
