A new poem based on one of my favourite events, hope you like it.
In Great Yarmouth, where waves kiss the sand,
A gathering of geeks, a wondrous band.
Sci-Fi Weekender, where dreams take flight,
Amongst fellow nerds, under starry night.
Celebrities grace the stage, heroes in tow,
Their tales and adventures, a cosmic show.
From galaxies far, to realms unseen,
In this sanctuary, where fantasies convene.
Cosplayers strut, in costumes divine,
Each stitch a story, every detail a sign.
From Jedi knights to steampunk queens,
Imagination reigns, in vibrant scenes.
Panel discussions, debates ignite,
On AI, aliens, and futures bright.
With minds ablaze, in fervent debate,
The boundaries of science, we contemplate.
Through the weekend's journey, we boldly go,
Exploring realms of wonder, in ebb and flow.
In Great Yarmouth's embrace, our spirits soar,
At Sci-Fi Weekender, forevermore.
