Reflection in Proverbs 22:6

6 Direct your children onto the right path, and when they are older, they will not leave it.
(Proverbs 22:6 — New Living Translation (NLT)

A lot of times we despise the instructions that our parents gives us, and sometimes we think that its just nagging, and it won’t be beneficial to us because we think that we know what we want and that want is the right thing that we should do but in reality it isn’t, but here in this verse we can read that, the parents has a responsibility towards their children to be able to direct them into the right path as early as possible so that it will be embedded in their minds and they will not depart from those instruction.

The Question is what is that Instructions? to where we will get it? Of course we will get it in the Word of God, the Bible, I do believe that if a child is taught and is fed with the Word of God in a young age, there is a big tendency that the child will not depart from it and that child will become a godly child. But also let this be a reminder to the parents or those people who teaches the Word of God that they themselves has to do it and practice it. because I also do believe that what the child see’s, the child does, so when the child see that their parents is doing what the Word of God is saying then they will also follow.
