November is another busy month, and I am counting down until my solo show opens on January 6th! Still so very much to do, but in the meantime, here are a few pieces that you can enjoy if you are local!
The South Texas Art League 88th annual juried show is at the Art Museum of South Texas until November 27th. While you are there, you can also enjoy some other artists, like Andy Warhol, Jasper Johns, and Frank Stella... I took my inspiration from Warhol and Johns to create my two pieces in the show.
Friday, November 4, is the opening for DIMENSION XLIX, a national juried call hosted by the Art Center of Corpus Christi each year. I have two pieces that were juried into the show.
Moon Over Water Gallery will be hosting a Grand Opening Celebration on Saturday, November 12 from 10 - 6. Art Walk will be taking place from 4 - 6 on Austin Street in Downtown Rockport. Join us for food, fun, activities, and great art!
And, the brand new Rockport Center for the Arts will be open for a members only sneak peek on Thursday, November 17, from 5 - 7 pm. I will have work in two of the new galleries. These three are in the Miniatures exhibit. I'll wait to show you the piece in the big show!
All very exciting, but it is time to buckle down and really focus on completing all of the work for my upcoming solo show. I've even started saying "no" to some great opportunities... And, I sat down this morning and ordered the last of the supplies, frames, and materials that I need to complete all of the work I am planning for the show - Amazon must love me - over $500 in art supplies in one order!
Anyhow, just wanted to update you all and thank you for your continued support. Lots going on at Collage-Lab, too, but I wanted to make this post focused on my current art-making endeavors. I truly could not do this all without your comments, purchases, encouragement, and support - thank you from the bottom of my heart!
