Hello out there friends!
Just over a week until we head to the studio for Ruthless Jabiru's and my own first ever album project and can't wait to get started. I've spent the month booking players and having now spoken with [checks notes] 86 Aus & Kiwi musicians based here in the UK we almost have the whole team locked down.. Always so great to catchup with everyone at this point in the process but the investigative powers needed to trace some of you 🫠 ye gods
Also now deep into soloist coachings (pictured here in transit) and loving Soosan's music even more in the sharing as it seeps down into our bones. Stay tuned for the official collaborator reveal this week..

Really enjoyed Juliet Fraser's gathering of experimental minds and music around defiance, solidarity and Activism for Eavesdropping Festival back in early April. A swift trip north also coming up for me this week for a contemporary opera lab by invitation of Opera Aperta and Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival so looking forward to more likeminded provocateurs
Now on Day 89 of my 100 days of practice: a bit quieter lately as the onslaught of dry project admin has made things a bit less photoworthy! The finish line of the challenge happily blurs with the end of our sessions though so festive times soon afoot.. thanks to all following the progress
