Eliza

May 26, 2022

I have not been able to record my first Eliza sessions this week, I apologize. I'm going to make a big effort to get them done and get one posted by next weekend. I've been a bit busy - I have my driving test next Tuesday so I've had a few lessons (ugg it's ridiculous, really. I've been driving for 2 decades with a clean record) and have been juggling some other things as well. But I did go ahead and make notes on the entire diary, since I have no idea exactly how many months I can read through at a time and just want to be prepared! I've also scanned her second diary so I can start typing that one out as well. Her handwriting wears me out so I only do a few pages at a time.

In the meantime, I figured I would share a few photos of Eliza's diaries at least. Again, apologies for getting a little behind right now. It's bound to happen occasionally! But I've got a lot of diaries to get through and I'm excited about them all, so don't worry! The videos will keep coming for a while yet. :-)

Just a few of the collection...

The first of Eiza's diaries I managed to rescue - 1868.

You can perhaps see why it's taken me a while to read through this diary...

Although to be honest, it did get easier to decipher over time. Pro tip! I scanned it first and read it mainly off of a larger monitor, so I could better see the tinier handwriting. ;-)
