Online Writing Classes

Apr 10, 2024

Online donation-based writing classes for every woman.

Whether you have a project in mind, a project in progress, or simply want to take the time to listen to yourself on the page. Bring your journal, your laptop, your vintage typewriter. If you are putting words on a page, digital or otherwise, you are welcome.

You don't have to feel like "a writer" to join us. These classes are like a women's circle with dedicated journaling time. Come simply to put your thoughts and feelings on paper. Join in the conversation or share your own writing, thoughts, and experience if you feel called... or just listen.

This is not a teach you about writing class. This is a class for you to listen to yourself first and have support available if and when you need it. I'm available throughout class to answer any questions you have and help you through any blocks, doubts, or confusion.

You don’t have to write alone.

Write in a space held for you because your thoughts, your experiences, your stories matter. Write in a space where you can get help and support whenever you’re stuck or your inner critic gets too loud. Write in a space that takes the pressure off and expands your creativity.

Come and write your stories.

NEXT CLASS is Monday, 15 April at 8pm (20:00) NZST.

THEN Monday, 22 April at 8am (08:00) NZST.

Donate as little as $5 NZD by buying me a pen to get access to this and future classes.

The Microsoft Teams link to join class (similar to Zoom) will be shared in a post available to those who have donated.

I’m your host, writer & editor Kerryn Trisha.

I have been writing stories since I learned how to form letters. I made my first book in school at 10 years old where I bonded with my best friend over how to write an ampersand (&).

I have a diploma in creative writing, wrote fiction for seven years, have written 50,000 words in 30 days during multiple NaNoWriMo events (National Novel Writing Month), and founded one of the first online writing communities in New Zealand.

During my time as a business analyst and project manager across government, banking, and travel industries I’ve written business processes, procedures, policies, and software requirements galore.

I started my first blog in 2005 and have been writing on the internet ever since. That’ll be 20 years of content writing across blogs, websites, sales pages, email marketing, and social media next year in 2025.

I have edited five books including a memoir self-leadership book Soulpreneur by Rose Tautari, the first three books in the erotic romance series Nocturnal Hearts by Elliott Rose, and the upcoming memoir of healing from sexual abuse, The Blooming Wound by Francesca Satta.

And I’ve been writing morning pages (stream of consciousness journaling) for self-awareness, personal growth, self-exploration, and straight up sanity for over 15 years. This continues to be a go-to tool for me to break down my limiting beliefs, unpack my emotions, and gain perspective on my life so I can choose the experience I want to live.

I live in Wellington, New Zealand with my two kids, husband of 20+ years, and our black cat, Flash.

I have several writing projects on the go.

I’m compiling my essays on body hair into an ebook that will encourage reader’s exploration of their own experience.

I’ve started writing on The Myth of Control and The Gift of Sovereignty about how we’re conditioned to seek safety and security from the illusion of controlling our life when seeking that safety and security from a sense of self-trust and self-belief is much more resilient.

I’m reading and researching about our perception and relationship to time, including the origin of our calendar and clocks, the birth of productivity out of the industrial revolution, and our drive to always be doing that goes back as far as the Puritans.

I’m working with my parents on collecting and compiling the family history of my maternal grandmother who was born in Poland in the same year as Anne Frank and Audrey Hepburn, survived deportation into and out of Russia during WWII, arriving in New Zealand with 732 other Polish refugee children.

Come write with me.
