Hello friends old and new! If you don't know, I'm transitioning from being an artistic scientist to being a scientific artist. Specifically, I'm working on a novel set at a music festival near Asheville. The protagonist is a middle-aged, depressed preacher whose church sits a couple miles down the road from the festival site. While out for a walk one Friday with his dog he hears music in the distance and investigating, he discovers a wild scene. His journey begins and over the course of the weekend he first loses and then finds his way, encouraged by the many weird, wacky festival participants. A tale of transformation and redemption.
