TIP: Action Photography In Low Light

Jan 13, 2021

You may find when taking action shots in low light, and they’re blurry. The reason for that is because if you’re shooting in auto, the camera is adjusting itself to the low light levels and slowing the shutter speed or opening the aperture to let more light into the sensor. To fix this, you’re going to need to switch to manual and start by increasing the shutter speed one notch at a time and shoot until you get the shot you want.

The upside to this is that you’ll have a nice baseline to start from for all indoor action photography in low light once you get this. So, make sure you write these settings down or commit them to memory, as you’ll definitely need them later.
