Our Journey

Nov 17, 2020

When I set out to launch LatinxAmerica, my focus was to share stories of people in tech to build awareness and empower my community with information and increase diversity in tech.  I still remember the anxiety of hearing my voice in the trailer episode that I re-recorded over 10 times.  I was lucky to find seasoned and well-respected mentors in Jared Easley and Dan Franks, co-founders of Podcast Movement, and to be welcomed into the podcasting community with open arms after completing the PM 28-day challenge.  LatinxAmerica was recognized as an up and coming podcast and I continued my journey in collecting stories throughout season 1.

During season 2, I began exploring and interviewing more founders and in season 3, at the request of our listeners, we captured more stories of Angel Investors and VCs.  We also included some non-Latinx allies, mentors and champions.  As we move onto season 4, I am excited to share that we will be doing a special mental health series focusing on defeating impostor syndrome, reducing anxiety, and other coping strategies to overcome mental health challenges.  We will also dedicate some episodes to coaching for career advancement and we have a few upcoming collaborations to announce.  You will be, of course, the first ones to know!

  • As a content creator, I appreciate your support.

  • As a community leader, I am grateful for your trust.

  • As a storyteller, I thank my guests for entrusting me to share their stories.

  • As a parent, I have hope for the future of our community.

Let’s continue this journey and thanks for coming along with me…

Saludos,
