There aren't too many things I need in life, but I do know that I need tools to write and draw, nourishing food, and, of course, caffeine.
I'm a Chinese American woman from Oakland, California, living in Tlaquepaque, Mexico. Two years ago, I quit my job to travel the world with my now-husband and was lucky enough to get stuck here when the pandemic hit. It's allowed me to not only create more art, but create my life centered around creativity.
My main project series right now is #Visible, which I started in light of the murders of six Asian women on March 16, 2021. This project seeks to uplift the faces and voices of Asian women through their own fiercely autonomous lens.
I aim to create art that examines what's going on in the world today, that speaks what's unspoken, and brings to paper the inarticulable experiences held in the body.
Other random stuff: I'm a proud Mills graduate, Kundiman Fellow, Mom to a dog that I named Batman, wife to an amazing musician, a Rabbit Libra, and I almost solely follow food porn accounts on my person IG.
If you like what I'm doing, please buy me a coffee! It'll be fuel for my next creation. :)
