'Mr. Las Vegas' Wayne Newton makes a special appearance in the 54th World Series '500$ Salute to Warriors' - Unlimited Hold on Event

"Donations to the community are critical to the WSOP, and we are proud to offer USO a $100,000 donation in Wayne Newton's name. His unwavering support for the military is admirable, and we are honored to welcome Mr. Las Vegas at the WSOP to kick off this annual charity event."
A longtime supporter of veterans, Newton proudly holds the presidency of the United Nations Service Organization (USO) Celebrity Circle and continues to travel around the world to perform for our armed forces. On behalf of WSOP and Caesars Entertainment, WSOP Vice President Jack Eiffel donated $100,000 to USO under Wayne Newton's name, following a color guard commemorative presentation at Nellis Air Force Base and comments from USO Executive Director Tim Mullin. As Newton announced the iconic "Shuffle Up and Deal," chips rang throughout the ballroom in Paris, and the $500 Salute to Warrior – No-Limit Hold'em event began.
"This event takes a special place in my heart because it has always been my passion to support my son," Newton said. "I'm proud to have helped launch the event, and I'm sure the veterans who participate will make me proud. Thank you for their generous donation to the U.S. military. Newton appears every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at the Wayne Newton Theatre in the Flamingo Hotel & Casino in "Wayne: Up Close and Personal."
