“In the night sky they dance. Fiery trails in their wake. For mischief Hyrrakkir gather. Mǫsurrla their leader.” I hope you enjoyed this quick sketch of a mythological character from my world. The weaselkin believe that auroras are the fiery trails of great fire foxes flying in the sky. Mǫsurrla is the greatest among them (His name is derived from Old Norse mǫsurr meaning maple). They are evil or at least mischievous, and eat the flesh of the dead. There are only a few tales and poems about them however.
