I write “Shuang Tan” (“双碳”, pinyin: Shuāng Tàn), a weekly newsletter that tracks China – the world's largest greenhouse gas emitter - going net-zero. 

The newsletter aims to provide timely, comprehensive, and nuanced information on China’s decarbonization – a transition that could largely determine the future of our planet.

I launched the newsletter in February 2022, and it has been a purely independent and personal project. I, as well as Kevin Schoenmakers (@schoenmakersk), who helps with the editing, dedicate our own spare time to developing this newsletter every week.
