Possibilities make life worth living.

But, they have a flipside.

Possibilities extract the best out of us. Humans love incentives and possibilities provide just that. We work for something better and hence do the best work. Remember - hope is fuel.

Perhaps we'll hit X monthly income, make a sale, make the best goddam pitch on this planet, invent a breakthrough or even create magic that has never been seen before.

But...we might not.

And if not, then what?

The first thing is to learn from it. Remember, even if it doesn't work out, you've learned something that someone else hasn't. You know something no other person in the world knows. You can try the second time and you won't repeat the first time's mistakes. YOU'VE LEARNT FROM IT - that's an achievement.

The second thing is to acknowledge the flaws your approach exposed. Accept the mistakes; don't run from them. Maybe it wasn't your day, maybe the earth was a dangerous place that day, maybe the astrologers were right.

Perhaps, luck was involved. And maybe that day, it wasn't on your side. It doesn't matter. Move on. Is there anything you can do about it. Perhaps, yes or no. But, can you control the next thing that you do; YES!

Honor the situation and jump on the next thing, to grow.

When things don't work out the way you planned, maybe life has bigger things planned for you. You just don't know them yet.
