Let's explore a bit more of Parnell this week. Down the hill from Parnell Village is St Stephen's chapel overlooking Judges Bay. One of Auckland's earliest churches and built specially for the signing of a document. It's surrounded by very old headstones of early settlers, rambling roses, huge trees and views to the city and harbour.

Parnell is Auckland's oldest suburb and was chosen for it's elevated views and proximity to the harbour. Today it is an exclusive area of lovely homes, parks, gardens and history
