🍎We are what we eat

Part I

🌶️A general expression that refers to our health. That is, what we eat constantly reflects quite a lot on how healthy or sick we are, or how much work our liver does to eliminate toxins from the body, to create good cholesterol that helps us to lose weight and eliminate the bad cholesterol. Why?

🌶️ Because anything that is eaten or consumed, whether it's food, alcohol, medicine or toxins, gets filtered by the liver. Once we ingest food, it is digested by the stomach and intestine, gets absorbed into the blood and goes to the liver.

🌶️The liver is smart. It knows when to detoxify, when to usher the toxins out of the body through urine or stool, when to store the nutrients and when to release them back into the blood.

🌶️It also keeps the amount of sugar in the bloodstream constant. When liver cells accumulate too much fat, they and hormones have problems receiving and transmitting the signals in question. This leads to a constant release of higher blood glucose, specific to diabetes, prediabetes and insulin resistance. This is one of the causes of insulin resistance.

🌶️ But why also slimer persons may develop type 2 diabetes and a fatty liver? The answer next time, in the second part.
