Hey peeps!
I wasn't totally happy with my bass tone on the tracks I'm working on.
So I made a new one that feels like a nice in between of a lot of the tones I like.
I dialed it in with all of the active electronics OFF and all knobs FLAT on my bass... So it should work pretty well for you too.
Here's a sample of the tone:
If you don't have a Fractal System, here's what the tone is built on:
Amp - SV Bass 2
Cabs - Recto 4x12 57C and 4x12 Recto_New 412 A
Drive pedal - Blackglass 7k
You can decode what this means in your Kemper or Helix etc. by going to this link here and decoding the names.
It should be reasonably easy to determine that the SV bass is modelling an Ampeg SVT bass amp. Recto means Mesa Boogie Rectifier and Blackglass is obviously Fractal's version of Darkglass. ;)
Here's the signal chain - The mixer block is extremely important!
Make sure to select Scene 2!
